A deputy’s traffic stop turns into an arrest.

According to Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, a deputy on patrol observed a driver bounce his car off two curbs in the 300 block of S. Chicago early Saturday morning around 2:20am.

The officer arrested 25-year-old Shane Sonnier of Salina on charges of DUI.

A drug sniffing dog was also brought in and alerted deputies of drugs in the vehicle.

Officers found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a handgun inside the 4-door Pontiac G-6.

I through the sheriff department was to patrol in the county not in the city. Evidently our old sheriff cares little about the people in the county. Why does he just resign his position and retire?

Hey idiot, I mean fred hanson, last time I checked, Salina was in Saline County. So that means the sheriff’s office was doing their job arresting people. Idiot.
