Driver of Stolen Truck Arrested in Saline County

A Colorado man is in jail accused of burglary and stolen property.

According to Sheriff Glen Kochanowski deputies were dispatched to 2124 N. Hedville Road in reference to a drunk driver at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday.

They made contact with the driver of a white Ford Ranger, Preston Johnson, 23, of Aurora, Colorado. Johnson alleged he was traveling from Oklahoma back home to Colorado after attending to family business.

The tag of the vehicle came back stolen from Spavinaw, Oklahoma belonging to Darren Johnson where he alleges the suspect was in town and accuses him of stealing eight chainsaws, a laptop and moneybag containing $50 cash.

Some of the stolen items were recovered valued at approximately $2500. Johnson could face felony charges.
