Downtown Ready for Sunset Cruisers

Four wheeled beauties – with plenty of horses under the hood will be roaming the streets of Downtown Salina Thursday evening, as merchants hand out cotton candy and good deals.

Penny Bettles with Salina Downtown Inc., joined in on the KSAL Morning News with a look at the 2014 Sidewalk Sale, Block Party and Sunset Cruise. “It all starts out with a block party from 4pm to 8pm,” she said.

“At the sidewalk sale merchants will be handing out free popcorn and cotton candy and bringing out products with special prices.”

Bettles added as the evening wraps up, the Sunset Cruise will begin at about 7:30pm.

“There’s about 150 vintage cars that will cruise,” she said.

“It’s just a sampling of what you’ll see at the Leadsled event in Oakdale Park.”

Riders of Salina’s own Cruiser Cult Bicycle Club (CCBC) will also be weaving in and around the parade.

The 34th Annual KKOA Leadsled Spectacular starts with the Thursday night cruise and opens at 10am on Friday, July 25th in Oakdale Park.
