A Texas man is treated at the hospital for back pain after a two car crash.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office reports a passenger in a 2008 Mercedes Benz complained of pain in his hands and back after a vehicle collided with the car he was in Friday afternoon at the intersection of Salemsborg Road and Kansas Highway-4.
Deputies say Kelven Schmidt of Assaria was southbound on K-4 and did not notice that the car ahead of him had stopped.
Officers say his 2006 Chevy Cobalt clipped the Mercedes tail end before going into the ditch, striking a power pole.
Schmidt was cited for driving too closely behind another vehicle.
