Deputies, KBI Investigating Stabbing Death

The Saline County Sheriff’s office is investigating the overnight stabbing death of a 13-year-old girl on Remington Road.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski held a media conference on Friday morning and said the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a stabbing at about 1:45am.

Sheriff Kochanowski said when officers arrived at the scene in Northwest Saline County they found the body of 13-year-old Galazia Niehaus who had been stabbed to death.

“We are currently working the scene and the case along with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, ” Kochanowski said.

The Sheriff did not give any details about a suspect or circumstances surrounding the incident.

“As this case progresses and new information is forwarded it will be given to the County Attorney’s Office.”

Galazia was a student at Ell-Saline.

People dont be to quick to jump to conclusions. This is my niece. Investigation is being conducted. Fred hanson — the parents were sleeping . Anything u wanna know? Cuz we wanna know more as well

With all due respect they lived in a double wide with thin walls not in a mansion with sleeping quarters in a remote part of the home. If we are to believe the story that the girls were fighting the parents should have been aware. Also the girl going to the sheriffs sons house is also highly suspicious. There are many unanswered questions but the bottom line is we have a dead wonderful girl who did not deserve to die.
