DC Sniper’s Ex-Wife To Speak At Fort Riley

The ex-wife of the sniper who terrorized the Washington, D.C., area more than a decade ago is talking about domestic violence at Fort Riley.

Mildred Muhammad will speak from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Parent Central/Kids on Site Child Care facility. The event is part of a month-long series of events scheduled to observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.

After several years of silence, Muhammad has opened up about her experiences. She says John Allen Muhammad terrorized her for years through intimidation and threats.

Her husband and an accomplice went on a killing spree for three weeks in 2002, killing 10 and injuring three. Muhammad was executed in 2009.
