Crime Report: Home Burglarized; Bicycle stolen

Thieves hit a Salina woman’s home while she is away.
Police say that sometime between Saturday and Tuesday multiple items were stolen from a home at 1436 Cheyenne. The owner was away, and when she returned she found that the house had been rummaged  through and multiple items were missing.
Missing items include a 52″ television, a 32″ television, 10 pair of Air Jordan sneakers, a Play Station video game system and 10 games, and 10 DVDs.
Police say that there is no sign of forced entry to the home.
Total loss is estimated at $2,985.

A thief steals a Salina man’s bicycle.
Police say that sometime between 10:20 and 10:50 in the morning on Tuesday a bicycle was stolen from 203 North 3rd Street.  The Trek Verve 4, 21 speed, 21 inch blue bicycle was parked in a garage at the Pop A Shot facility, with the garage door open.
Total loss is estimated at $1,100.

OMG a Salina news story. Hmm no forced entry and look at the items missing. Wow looks like another insurance case to make money.

Im waiting for some idiot to report that the chair he was sitting in, and the TV he was watching, was stolen, and he didnt see or hear anything. These insurance companies need to start investigating this crap. And quit relying on the SPD to do it.

Those companies would get on an honest person reporting something like this but look the other way on situations like this. Go figure.
