Crash On Old 40 Leads to Charges

KSAL Staff - November 6, 2013 10:53 am

A Salina man is facing DUI charges after a one vehicle crash.

According to Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, after a call from a concerned citizen, deputies were actively looking for an alleged drunk driver Tuesday night who left a home in Brookville with his family on board around 9pm.

Moments later a deputy came upon a pickup truck on its top.

The Sheriff’s Office says the truck was eastbound on Old 40 Highway and entered a ditch near Reece Road and rolled twice. Deputies say the family, a 22-year old woman, a 1-year old girl and the driver were not seriously injured.

The driver, 24-year-old Alexander Mills, 1661 W. Republic, was taken by EMS to the hospital in Salina and could be facing charges that include DUI, endangering a child, no proof of insurance and domestic battery which allegedly occurred before the wreck.
