Concern About Kansas Measles Exposure

State health officials areĀ  concerned about a possible Measles exposures In Sedgwick county.

A person with measles in Sedgwick County may have gotten the illness from someone in Butler County who had it a few weeks ago. The person with the disease in Sedgwick County may have exposed a number of people.

The person is said to have visited restaurants, auto shops, a church and a school.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment officials are concerned because measles can be spread easily through the air, breathing, coughing or sneezing. They say infants, women who are pregnant and people with compromised immune systems are especially vulnerable.
