Computers, Vehicles Stolen

Salina Police are investigating several residential burglary and theft cases from over the long holiday weekend.

Police are investigating a burglary and theft that occurred on Wednesday in the 100 block of N. College. The owner told officers he returned home to find his back door left open and a Nintendo Wii game system stolen. A mini computer and backpack full of computer gear was also taken. Total loss is listed at $775.

A Salina woman came home to find her back door forced open and several electronic items missing. Police say someone entered a home in the 800 block of Cherokee sometime between Saturday night at 8:15pm and Sunday at 1:32am and stole a 37-inch flatscreen TV, Nintendo Wii systems plus 3 games. A DVD player, blue ray player, shoes and Gucci sunglasses were taken as well. Total loss and damage is estimated at $1,785.

Vehicle thefts

A car is reported stolen from the 800 block of Sherman. Tyler Wood told officers his 2005 Chevy Silverado was parked on the street, unlocked with the keys in the center console when someone drove it away sometime between Saturday night at 11:40pm and 12:45am on Sunday. The vehicle is valued at $8,000.

Police report that a 1993 Yamaha XJ600  Seca II was stolen from a side yard in the 500 block of Franklin. The red motorcycle, valued at $4,000 was taken from a concrete pad sometime between November 23rd and November 27th.
