Police arrest a Salina man on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, 69-year-old Steven C. Daily was taken into custody on Friday after an investigation revealed that an explicit image of a girl was shared electronically.

Police say that Daily allegedly sent the picture of the girl who is in her early teens, to someone over the internet in early May.

Daily was arrested on Friday and is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of visual depiction of a child under the age of 18.

Police began their investigation after being contacted by the Department of Children and Family Services on July 12th.

No other arrests have been made.
