Topeka police say a 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being wounded in a drive-by shooting.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the suspect vehicle, which is described only as a silver or white with four doors.

The girl was shot around 11:30 p.m. Monday in Topeka.

No other details were immediately available Tuesday morning.
