Five Salina area teams are preparing to play in the Kansas State High School Athletic Association Basketball Tournament.
Both the Salina Central boys and girls teams will play in class 5A tournament Topeka. The Southeast of Saline boys and girls teams will both play in class 3A tournament in Hutchinson. The Sacred Heart boys team will play in the class 2A tournament in Manhattan.
Salina team game times and opponents:
- The Salina Central boys (16-6) are the #5 seed and will take on #4 seed Shawnee-Mill Valley (16-6) Wednesday afternoon at 4:45.
- The Salina Central girls (18-4) are the #4 seed and will take on #5 seed Shawnee-Mill Valley (18-4) Thursday afternoon at 4:45.
- The Southeast of Saline boys (20-3) are the #4 seed and will taken on #5 seed Norton Community (20-3) Wednesday afternoon at 4:45.
- The Southeast of Saline girls (18-5) are the #7 seed and will take on #2 seed Sabetha (22-1) Thursday evening at 6:30.
- The Sacred Heart boys (23-0) are the #3 seed and will take on #6 Montezuma-South Gray (20-3) Wednesday night at 8:15.
The Salina Central games will be broadcast on Newsradio 1150 KSAL in Salina, while the Sacred Heart games will be on FM 104.9
