Cargill Picks Architect for New Wichita Headquarters

Agribusiness giant Cargill has chosen an architect for a new Wichita facility to house its protein operations.

The Wichita Eagle reports that Kansas City-based HOK has been selected.

Wichita is home to the company’s beef business and its turkey and cooked meat business, which includes deli meats. Its processed-protein services, such as its North American egg business and food distribution, also are located in Wichita, where Cargill employs about 900 workers.

Cargill spokesman Mike Martin says multiple sites within the city limits are being considered.
