CAPS Auction: Ready for Action Saturday

The 25th Annual Caps Celebrity Benefit Auction is Saturday – Executive Director Carolee Jones tells KSAL News the spotlight shines on local donors, “It was much easier to get celebrity stuff by contacting them directly twenty years ago,” she said.

“That’s gone by the wayside, now we’ve got great local donors that provide most of our stuff.”

Jones says the 4-hour live auction will have a $3,000 cash giveaway – plus hundred of items to bid on and buy.

Items range from Services, Romantic Getaways, Celebrity Items and Recreation Packages – just to name a few.

Doors open for a sneak peak at 9am Saturday, February 1st at the 4-H Building across from the Bicentennial Center. The auction begins at 10am and runs until 2pm. View the entire list of items online at www.capsofsalina.org.

Jones tells KSAL News that she is so thankful for the spirt of giving around Salina, “People just open their hearts and say what can I do.”

The auction is the single largest fund-raising event of the year for Child Advocacy and Parenting Services (CAPS).
