A Salina man was arrested on burglary and theft charges.

Police took 36-year-old Robert Hewitt into custody on Tuesday after recovering several stolen item that were found in his house.

Police say sometime between 10am Friday and noon on Saturday, Hewitt entered the home of an acquaintance in the 300 block of N. Kansas and took an HP computer, Olympus camera, a backpack and 17 movies on Blu-Ray DVD.

Hewitt is facing additional charges of drug possession after officers found marijuana and opiates in his house.
