A Salina toddler is injured after a TV tip-over.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that officers responded to a medical emergency on Saturday night around 6:20pm at an apartment in the 200 block of N. Oakdale after a 16-month old male pulled over a heavy box style television that was on a small nightstand.

“Apparently the child was trying to climb on the night stand and the TV fell on him,” Sweeney said.

Police report the boy suffered a skull fracture and internal bleeding and was flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

As of Monday morning the boy was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

The case is being investigated as an accident.
