Benefit For Family Of Child Killed In Farm Accident

A benefit dinner is planned this weekend for the family of a child killed in a farming accident last week.

Last Wednesday evening 5-year-old Brooklyn Debenham was killed. She had been riding in the cab of a combine in rural Dickinson County with her father when the combine hit a bump, or obstacle. The combine’s windshield shattered, and she fell through the glass and landed on the machine’s header.

In an effort to support the family in their time of grief, a hamburger and hotdog feed is planned for this Sunday. The event will begin at 5:00 at Lang Diesel Inc. at 144 West Farrelly Road.

Freewill donations will be accepted at the event. Seating is limited, and those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the family, and the Brooklyn Debenham Memorial Fund.
