Basketball Team Van Crashes

Snow that began falling Saturday evening quickly made travel dangerous across parts of Kansas. Slick roads contributed to multiple slide offs and crashes.

A van carrying players from the Brown Mackie college basketball team was among those that crashed. Coach Francis Flax tells KSAL News that the van rolled over after sliding off Interstate 70 near Junction City. Assistant Coach Matt Dockman and 9 players were all in the vehicle. Other than some bumps and bruises no one was seriously hurt. No one required medical treatment.

Conditions prompted officials to close several roads, including Interstate 70 between Hays and Colorado.
