Bank Window Damaged by Shots Fired

Jeff Garretson - July 10, 2013 10:35 am

A man's car was broken into this morning.

A drive-thru window at a bank is chipped by gunfire.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, a thick, 3-foot by 5-foot window at the drive-thu teller at Capitol Federal Savings, 2550 S.9th, was hit by what police believe were 2 small caliber bullets.

Police say someone fired at the window sometime between Monday evening at 5:30pm and Tuesday morning at 8:30am. The glass had two distinct chips with spider webbed cracks. The damage estimate could exceed $800.
