Bank Subject to Fraudulent Activity

A Salina bank is victim to a serious fraudulent attack that has been ongoing since July.

First Bank of Kansas, located at 235 South Santa Fe, has had issues with an account opened in July. Checks have been written from one account, after a sum of money has been withdrawn from an ATM, leaving the account withdrawn.

The banks the perpetrator has acted through are Central National Bank, the Bank of Tescott and Sunflower Bank.

Salina police are investigating the account, and hope to name a suspect soon. The fraudulent activity has been running from July 6- October 20, and leaves the bank out $10,491.41.
