“Kingdom Jam” takes aim at fighting Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

CrossRoads Church in Salina is hosting a benefit concert to raise awareness – and funds in the fight against SIDS. Pastor Ron Bowell stopped by the KSAL Morning News with a look at the concert that will take place on Sunday afternoon.

Pastor Bowell’s family has been touched by SIDS – after his grandson died from the mysterious disease, “It’s a silent killer,” he said. “They go to sleep and they just never wake up.”

Pastor Bowell tells KSAL News that they’ll have informational videos about SIDS on Sunday and contemporary Christian music.

Twelve bands will grace the stage to share a message of hope including: Main Event, E28, Anthem, CrossRoads Band, Higher Praise Band, Lifehouse, Hard Way Out, Church of the Cross Band, Pulse, Dry Creek and Revolution Band

Kingdom Jam kicks off Sunday, January 12th at 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

Pastor Bowell adds that admission is free with an opportunity to give an offering to SIDS research.

CrossRoads Church is located at 1125 W. South Street, just south of Ace Hardware in Salina.

This families story of SIDS is very touching and their faith has helped them continue. I can’t wait to go again..after our miscarriage I hope this helps heal us.
