Baby Safe after Incident

KSAL Staff - May 1, 2015 11:12 am

A Salina woman is facing charges for endangering a child after a tussle puts a baby at risk.

Police arrested 22-year-old Jazmean F. Elledge on Thursday afternoon after she allegedly told two women in an east Salina home she would kill them as she waved a butter knife, while trying to grab a 1-year-old baby.

Police say Elledge came to the home uninvited and tried to remove the boy from the home where two acquaintances were caring for him.

The non custodial mother is now facing charges that include aggravated assault, criminal threat and domestic battery.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the infant was not injured.
