Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the owner of a property at 218 S. 4th Street discovered the body lying in a lean-to shed at about 2:55pm Tuesday afternoon.

“It is the body of a black male,” Captain Sweeney said.

“We’re not sure of the cause of death. We have an idea who it might be, and we are not releasing any other information until the results of the autopsy.”

Captain Sweeney says at this time the case is being treated as an unattended death.
