A Salina auto dealer halts the delivery of a vehicle after learning it was purchased through fraudulent means.

Police Sergeant Jim Feldman tells KSAL News that between August 29 and September 29, Money Motors, 2222 S. 9th, had taken three credit card payments over the phone in a transaction with a suspect in Alabama.

Police say the owner of the credit card contacted Money Motors on Thursday to inform them the card’s number had been stolen and they were not trying to buy a vehicle.

Money Motors was able to stop the delivery of the of the auto before it reached its destination.
