AUDIO: Wildcat Weekly with Wyatt Thompson 12/6

The Kansas State Wildcat football team is going West.

The Wildcats accepted an invitation to the Cactus Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona on December 26. The opponent: UCLA Bruins.

UCLA fired its head coach Jim Mora earlier in the year and quickly found a replacement in former Oregon coach Chip Kelly. The Bruins also have a projected top-five NFL Draft pick in quarterback Josh Rosen.

On the basketball floor, K-State is 8-1 following a pair of wins. KSU shot 48 percent from three against USC-Upstate in an 86-49 win on Tuesday. On Sunday, Kansas State survived its first true road test with an 84-79 take down of Vanderbilt. The Wildcats were 54 percent from the field in that victory.

Voice of the Kansas State Wildcats Wyatt Thompson joined “In The Zone” on Wednesday to recap the recent tilts for K-State while giving his thoughts on the Cactus Bowl and the College Football Playoff.
