A teen from Assaria was involved in an ATV crash in rural Cloud County on Saturday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Jacob A. Wespe was riding a Outlaw Polaris ATV, headed west on a rural road. He braked too hard, was tossed over the front of the ATV, and landed in a ditch.

Wespe was transported by EMS to Cloud County Health Center. Troopers say that he was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened at 5:15 Saturday evening, on Cloud Road 3.4 miles west of U.S. 81 Highway in Cloud County.
