Salina Police are investigating a possible case of arson at a rental home located at 225 S. Clark.
A woman who is renting the property told officers she noticed a burn mark on the southeast corner of the home after living there for about two weeks.
“We can’t pinpoint when it happened,” Captain Mike Sweeney told KSAL News.
“There is a burn mark that runs from just above the foundation to the overhang of the house and the paint is blistered,” he said.
Police say it appears an accelerant was used.
The home had been vacant for several months before the woman moved in.
