Salina Police arrest a woman who had been writing and passing counterfeit checks.

Christine Elizabeth Rice faces charges on 14 counts of forgery, one count misdemeanor theft and one count felony theft from forging checks between November 1st and January 16th.

The checks were stolen from Steven Jacobs of Salina, and written in town. Checks were also cashed at a local bank, as well as Speedy Cash.

Total loss is estimated at $6600.
