A man was arrested after allegedly committing a sex crime in a church.

Police say that a 24-year-old female reported being sexually battered at a church. The woman was with her child in the quiet room of Emmanuel Foursquare Christian Center at 1325 East Cloud when a homeless man entered the room and began to touch the woman with sexual intent.

Christopher McCarter, 39, was promptly arrested at the church.

McCarter could face charges that include sexual battery.
