Early this morning, while it’s residents were still asleep, a burglary occurred at a home on the 1100 block of Republic Circle.
Colby Lemons, 25, a resident of the home, heard noises coming from his kitchen. Lemons got out of bed and turned on the lights to find a pantry door damaged and a backpack, not belonging to him, sitting on his reclining chair.
Lemons opened the backpack to find his camera which he stored in the garage along with a few other items, another of which being a cell phone belonging to the suspect.
Using the information gathered from the cell phone, police were able to arrest and charge a 15-year-old neighbor boy with aggravated burglary (burglarizing a home while the victims are there) theft and damaged property.
