Advance Voting Ends Monday

August Primary Election Day is August 2nd and despite some important races, Saline County Clerk Don Merriman is predicting a turnout below thirty percent.

“It’s going to be somewhat scant on election day, somewhere in the 22 to 25-percent range,” Merriman said.

Merriman tells KSAL News that advance voting at the City/County Building has been brisk at times with a line out the door – to very quiet.

“It’s wide open in the mornings from 8am to 9am,” he said.

Advance Voting ends Monday, August 1st at Noon – the day before the election.

Merriman is urging anyone who is planning on being out of town on Tuesday to come in and vote.

“If you know you are going to be out of town, please come in and take advantage of Advance Voting here in Room 215 at the City/County Building,” he said.
