An active shooter drill is planned Thursday at one of Salina’s largest employers.

Blue Beacon International, Inc., in collaboration with the Salina Police Department, Saline County Sheriff, and Saline County Emergency Management will be conducting an active shooter drill. The scenario will provide a simulated emergency situation and allow law enforcement and employees alike to react to the situation.

The drill will begin at Blue Beacon around 2 p.m.

Blue Beacon uses a high pitched audible alarm for emergency situations that will be tested during the drill.  If you live or work in the area of 500 Graves Blvd, please do not be alarmed if you should hear this alarm sound.  The alarm may sound multiple times during the drill.
