Abilene Federal Drug Case

A man is facing federal charges in connection with an Abilene drug case.

According to U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom’s Office, 28-year-old Santos Benjamin Ramos-ValdezĀ  is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine. His crime is alleged to have occurred on July 6th in Dickinson County.

If convicted,Ramos-Valdez faces a penalty of not less than five years and not more than 40 years and a fine up to $5 million.

The Dickinson County Sheriff and the Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.
