$5,000 Reward In Decapitated Cat Case

The Humane Society of the United States is offering up to $5,000 for information in the death of a cat that was decapitated in Great Bend.

Great Bend police found the body of a male cat missing its head and front paw on Oct. 26. Great Bend Police Lt. David Bailey says evidence indicated the cat’s body parts were cut off.

The Humane Society says in a news release that a donation from a board member enabled the organization to double its standard cruelty award to $5,000.
