$4,500 in Property Taken from KBI Officer’s Truck

Salina Police make four arrests after reviewing video from a store’s parking lot.

According to Captain Sean Morton, staff at the Korner Store at 9th and Crawford called police when they witnessed someone throwing items into their dumpster on Thursday morning.

The property had been reported stolen from a Kansas Bureau of Investigation agent’s personal truck that was parked on the street in east Salina.

Thursday night around 7:35pm an officer on patrol identified the suspect’s vehicle from the video and stopped the car in the 900 block of S. Santa Fe. Police allegedly found drug paraphernalia in the car which led to a search warrant at an apartment at 219 E. Mulberry.

Police found additional property reported stolen from the KBI agent’s vehicle, plus a 27-inch flat screen TV that had been stolen in a residential burglary from a garage in the 2000 block of Redhawk.
