Salina Police are investigating a burglary, theft and damage to property case after a vehicle is broken into.

Officers were called to the Chapel Ridge Apartment, 2363 Chapel Ridge, on Monday morning after the owner of a 2010 Hyundai Sonata discovered the door handle of his car was broken, and items were missing from inside.

Police say a .40 caliber Springfield handgun was taken as well as some iPhone earbuds.

Total loss and damage is listed at $655.

Big mistake to leave a gun of any kind in a vehicle. They do make gun safes for vehicles.

Just proves the point if the bad guys want a gun they will get a gun. No gun control will ever stop this.
