3 Arrested after Meth Found

A traffic stop for a broken tail light leads to 3 arrests.

According to Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, a deputy on patrol observed a broken tail light on a vehicle traveling on Broadway Blvd. around 4:30pm on Wednesday.

The deputy also communicated with dispatch about identifying a passenger in the car he believed was wanted on a warrant. With assistance from officers with the Drug Task Force, police found 135 grams of methamphetamine and 19 grams of pot with a combined street value of over $13,000.

Police arrested 19-year-old Jason Howard of Salina for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.

The driver, 49-year-old Evonne Primeaux of Salina was arrested on 1 count of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

A third man in the vehicle, 28-year-old Reginald Benoit was held on outstanding warrants from Wichita.
