A 14-year-old driver rolled a truck he was driving Tuesday morning east of Salina, sending himself and four other teens to the hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 14-year-old Ryan Andrew Keyser was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500, headed west on Magnolia Road, and lost control. The truck began to spin, and rolled.

Keyser, and four passengers were all transported to Salina Regional Health Center with possible injuries. Those passengers are:

  • 13-year-old Sadie Vanriper
  • 13-year-old Daniel Leondo
  • 13-year-old Jacob Blair

A Kansas Highway Patrol crash report does not indicate if they were buckled up.

The crash happened at 07:48 Tuesday morning, a quarter mile east of Kipp Road on Magnolia Road.

Why were citations not given? Why did the parents let this happen when they were aware of them breaking the law? How about some more reporting on this story.
