There were no serious injuries when a Wichita man slammed his car into the back of a home in South Salina Friday evening. The crash happened in the area of the intersection of South 9th and South Broadway.
Salina Police Officer Rande Repp told KSAL News at the scene that 37-year-old Joshua Lynch of Wichita was driving a car, headed north on 9th Street. For an unkown reason Lynch lost control of the car, veered into a ditch, and crashed through a wood privacy fence and into the back of a home at 215 W. Leslie.
The car crashed through an exterior brick wall, and ended up patially inside the home. No one was home at the time of the crash.
EMS responded and treated Lynch at the scene. He refused transport to the hospital.
Repp said that the crash is still under investigation, but at this point he does not anticipate any citations.
Repp added that’s it’s fortunate no one was seriously hurt. “This is probably the best possible outcome we could have in a situation like this” he said.
